Privacy Policy — DevEnigma

This privacy policy applies to all applications developed and published by DevEnigma, including BillSense, Arrow Labyrinth, and Scot.

1. Overview

DevEnigma ("we", "us") builds apps for productivity and entertainment. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data our apps collect, how it is used, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

The data collected varies by app.

No DevEnigma app sells your personal data.

Data you provide directly (BillSense only)

Business name, owner name, email, phone, address, logo, client information, financial records, and job photos.

Camera, photos, and contacts (Scot only)

Scot can scan a receipt using your device camera or a photo you select. Receipt images are processed entirely on your device (using Google ML Kit on-device text recognition) to read the items and totals — they are never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties. A scanned receipt may be stored locally so you can return to it, and you can clear it at any time.

Scot can optionally add a person to a split from your contacts. This uses your device's built-in contact picker — Scot does not request permission to read your contacts and receives only the single name you choose, which is stored locally on your device.

Scot: Bill splits and history, recurring split templates, running-tab balances, scanned receipt images, app settings, and any contact name you add — stored locally and never sent to our servers

3. Third-Party Services

Our apps use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:

Scot's currency conversion feature requests publicly available exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. No personal data is sent with these requests.

Our advertising and purchase partners (Google AdMob and RevenueCat) may also collect app diagnostic, performance, and crash data to operate, maintain, and improve their services. This data is not linked to your identity.

4. Ads

Apps with a free tier display ads via Google AdMob. BillSense and Arrow Labyrinth show banner and interstitial ads; Scot shows banner and native ads. Ads are not shown to users who have purchased premium. You may opt out of personalised ads through your device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

5. In-App Purchases

Some apps offer one-time lifetime purchases or subscriptions managed through Google Play and RevenueCat. No payment information is processed by us — all transactions are handled by Google Play. Lifetime access grants premium features for as long as the respective app is actively maintained and available.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed in Section 3, solely for the purposes described.

7. Data Security

All data transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections. BillSense stores cloud data securely via Firebase. Arrow Labyrinth stores all progress locally on your device only.

8. Data Deletion

BillSense: Email support@devenigma.org with subject line "Delete My Account" and your registered email. Deletion occurs within 30 days. Uninstalling removes local data.
Arrow Labyrinth: No data is stored on our servers. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. For data held by third-party services, refer to their privacy policies linked in Section 3.
Scot: Your data (splits, people, history) is stored only on your device. To delete it, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. To reset ad-related identifiers, go to Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

9. Children's Privacy

Our apps do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. BillSense is intended for business use by adults. Arrow Labyrinth is suitable for general audiences but does not collect any personal information from any user regardless of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Continued use of any DevEnigma app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

By downloading or using any DevEnigma application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms of Service apply to all applications developed and published by DevEnigma LLC, including BillSense, Arrow Labyrinth, and Scot. By downloading or using any of these apps, you agree to these Terms.

2. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Some DevEnigma apps offer monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, and one-time lifetime purchases for premium access.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account settings
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
One-time purchases (e.g. ad removal, hint packs) are non-refundable once consumed

3. Lifetime Purchase

"Lifetime" access refers to the lifetime of the respective application, not the user's lifetime.

Lifetime access grants premium features for as long as the app is actively maintained and available
We reserve the right to discontinue any app or modify, remove, or replace features at any time
In the event an app is discontinued, lifetime purchases for that app will no longer be honoured and no refund will be issued
Future features added after your purchase may or may not be included in lifetime access at our discretion

4. Free Tier & Advertising

Free versions of our apps may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using a free tier, you agree to the display of ads in accordance with Google's advertising policies. Upgrading to a paid tier removes ads where applicable.

5. App-Specific Terms

BillSense

BillSense is designed for professional invoicing and estimating. You are responsible for the accuracy of any estimates, invoices, or financial records you create. DevEnigma is not liable for any financial decisions made based on data within the app.

Arrow Labyrinth

Arrow Labyrinth is a puzzle game. Leaderboard and achievement data is managed by Google Play Games Services subject to Google's own terms. Progress is stored locally and may be lost if the app is uninstalled.

Scot

Scot is a bill-splitting utility. All data is stored locally on your device. DevEnigma is not responsible for any disputes arising between users related to bill splits or payment settlements facilitated through the app.

6. Limitation of Liability

All DevEnigma apps are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or damages of any kind resulting from the use of our apps.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of any DevEnigma app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
